International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) competition

In November 2023, the school formed a team called the HK-Joint-School team, consisting of Carmel Pak U Secondary School, Tsuen Wan Public Ho Chuen Yiu Memorial College, Kowloon True Light School, and Tung Wah Group of Hospital Mrs. Wu York Yu Memorial College.  This team embarked on an astonishing journey to Paris to participate in the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) Competition.

The team conducted research on the 'Antimicrobial Black Soldier Fly Ecoplaster' [more info] and competed against teams from around the world.  They achieved splendid results, winning the GOLD Medal and being nominated for the 'Best Education Project Award' and the 'Best Sustainable Development Project Award' (ranking among the top 5 in the high school village).

國際遺傳工程機器設計競賽

在2023年11月，由本校聯同迦密柏雨中學、荃灣公立何傳耀紀念中學、九龍真光中學和東華三院伍若瑜夫人紀念中學五校師生組成的HK-Joint-School隊伍遠赴巴黎，於國際遺傳工程機器設計競賽（iGEM）中取得亮麗的成績。

HK-Joint-School聯隊以「生物可降解的抗菌膠布」為題 [更多]，與來自全球的隊伍競逐，最終贏得金獎，同時獲得「最佳教育項目獎」和「最佳可持續發展項目獎」的提名（於此兩個項目的高中組中得到首5名位置）。
